WE LOVE DOUBLE BUNS!!
Two buns are better than one…Maybe this is the hottest hair trend of the festival-season: everyone's wearing double buns. Get some inspiration and try the look yourself!
Messy Buns
1. Spritz your hair with a bit of sea salt texturizer.
2. Throw your hair up into two tight, high ponytails.
3. Grab the ends of one ponytail with one hand and hold upright. Tease the ponytail very gently with a wide-tooth comb near the base of the pony with your other hand. This step builds up a bit of volume for fuller topknot buns.
4. Smooth the ponytail out gently just enough to smooth the outer strands without damaging the volume you created by teasing. Repeat this process with the other ponytail.
5. Now twist them into buns, and secure with elastics and/or bobby pins. Fix it with hair spray.
6. Gently pull on the sides of each bun to create a tiny bit of volume and messiness.
NOTE: It’s easier to try this look on dirty hair, clean strands are too slippery and will likely slide out of the style.
Sleek Buns
1. Apply smoothing serum to damp hair and blow-dry straight.
2. Draw a straight center part from your forehead to the nape of your neck using the tip of a comb to pull hair onto either side.
3. Gather the right half of the hair into a high ponytail near the crown of your head and about 2 inches out from the center.
4. Smooth away any tangles on your head and tie the ponytail in place with a hair elastic. Repeat this process with the left half of your hair.
5. Now twist them into buns, and secure with elastics and/or bobby pins. Fix it with hair spray.
